RadiantGrid has developed a rich set of tools for catalog management, which manages the metadata, related assets, and transcoding settings, which are used by the media publishing service for generating and distributing packages to digital retailers.
The catalog management user interface tools support manual entry of metadata, as well as the editing of previously indexed metadata. These tools allow the management of asset packages, and support drag-drop association of artwork, previews and other related assets with the package project. Once the packages are prepared, they can be submitted to the media publishing service to finalize the preparation for the digital retailers.
The catalog management ingestion module automatically creates and stores low-resolution previews of video assets, streaming audio previews of audio assets, and thumbnail previews of image assets.
All preview assets are attached to the master assets in the catalog, via our robust, integrated asset management system. The asset management system supports the storage of native XML metadata with assets, arbitrary asset hierarchies, asset tagging, content storage references, asset containers, paged browsing, and searching via full-text and XML.
